Full Review
The Our Place Always Pan 2.0 improves on the viral original with a more durable ThermaLock ceramic non-stick coating, a redesigned modular lid, and better heat distribution. The concept remains brilliant: one beautifully designed pan that replaces your fry pan, saute pan, steamer, skillet, saucier, saucepan, non-stick pan, and spatula.
In our cooking tests, the ceramic coating performed admirably. Eggs slid off with zero oil, delicate fish released cleanly, and sticky sauces wiped away with a paper towel. The deep 2.6-inch sides and 10.5-inch diameter make it genuinely versatile — we successfully steamed dumplings, braised short ribs, and shallow-fried chicken all in the same pan.
The design deserves special mention. Available in 10+ curated colors (from Spice Pink to Sage Green), the Always Pan 2.0 is Instagram-famous for a reason. The modular lid nests in the handle to save cabinet space, and the included beechwood spatula sits in a built-in spoon rest. These thoughtful touches make daily cooking more enjoyable.
Durability is the main question mark. Ceramic non-stick inherently has a shorter lifespan than PTFE-based coatings, and the Always Pan is no exception. After 12 months of daily use in our test kitchen, the coating showed minor wear around the edges. Following care instructions — hand washing, silicone/wood utensils, medium heat only — will significantly extend its life. Expect 2-3 years of good performance with proper care.
At $150, it's not the cheapest pan, but you're getting 8 pans in one. Compare that to buying a quality fry pan ($50), saucepan ($40), steamer basket ($25), saute pan ($60), and spatula ($15) separately, and the value becomes clear — especially if kitchen space is at a premium.
Our Verdict
The Always Pan 2.0 is the best all-in-one pan for design-conscious home cooks. If you have limited cabinet space, want to reduce kitchen clutter, and care about non-toxic cooking surfaces, it's an easy recommendation. Serious cooks who sear at high heat regularly should supplement with a stainless steel or cast iron pan.
